Help My Child Communicate Consultation (free)

Speak one-on-one with a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to get your concerns addressed. During the phone or video consultation, we will discuss:

  • Medical history

  • Your main concerns in the area of speech, language, voice, fluency, or feeding/swallowing

  • How those concerns are impacting your child’s daily routines

  • A few examples of how your child currently communicates with family and peers (words, gestures, speaking device, etc.)

  • Specific sounds of difficulty and how they may be impacting your child’s overall communication with others, including teachers, friends, and family members

Screenings (reduced pricing)

Take the first step to addressing your concerns about your child’s speech and/or language, with a screening from a licensed and certified SLP. Our screenings last approximately 15-20 minutes. The purpose of a screening is to:

  • Decide if a full evaluation is needed

  • Determine if further assessment in areas outside of speech and language is needed

  • Find areas that need to be addressed in a full evaluation (language, speech, fluency, feeding, etc.)

  • Gain information about how your child may benefit from Virtual or In-Person Speech Services

We offer in-home screenings AND in-school screenings. We provide in-school screenings at multiple preschool and private school locations across Northeast Atlanta.

Evaluations

Evaluations are used to form clinical impressions, make recommendations, and create a plan of care after assessing:

  • Specific speech sounds

  • Comprehension of age-appropriate language

  • Use of age-appropriate language

  • Social language skills

  • Fluency (flow of speech)

  • Oral-motor, feeding, and swallowing skills

Re-evaluations are used to track progress in therapy in a robust and comprehensive fashion and are typically performed every 6 months - 1 year dependent on specific speech/language/communication needs.

Treatment

Services administered by a Speech-Language Pathologist will target specific goals based on your child’s individual needs, and will be discussed at length after your child’s initial evaluation.

We specialize in the treatment and intervention of:

Continuous progress monitoring and collaboration will be expected in speech and language treatment, which will include: parent or client-clinician discussions and education, practice activities, weekly reminders, charts for tracking home practice, pictures and visuals, and individualized home-programs tailored to meet YOUR child’s individual needs.

Parent Coaching

Coaching services are provided for parents of late-talkers, aged 12-36 months
